Massachusetts Alcohol Ignition Interlock Device

If you are eligible for either full license reinstatement or a hardship license by the Mass Registry of Motor Vehicles, and you have 2 or more OUI/Drunk Driving convictions on your record, you are required to have an Ignition Interlock Device installed in your car.

Before you look for a vendor, make sure you have all your paperwork from the Registry done. Read the ignition interlock process.

To have the ignition interlock device installed in your car, it costs around $200 for the installation, and $85/month for the ongoing monitoring of the device.

Ignition Interlock Installations are now available in many Circuit City locations around Massachusetts.

Some installers will come to your location for an additional charge.
